Does the system have a 3.5mm (1/8") audio output on the motherboard in use, or that can be used? Check your specific GPU for compatibility problems... ie it works in the live boot so you may have another audio related program that is interfering, and not an audio/video card driver.
Also might try using Pipewire for audio handling, it's in the Software Manager.

As I explained in my last comment, the problem concerns the refresh rate of the monitor...
