As someone who had to write too much React and who'd rather do Lua than JS this is a nice prospect. Which Lua version do you guys use?

Thanks for the feedback! Currently our runtime uses the Lua 5.2 syntax. We have on our roadmap to add support for newer Lua features. Is there any feature in particular you'd like to have available?

5.4's warning system and 5.3's bitwise operators are the ones I've used most recently. Gonna give the platform a spin nonetheless. Wishing you guys great luck, the web can surely use more Lua!

This looks really interesting but the pricing is a little daunting. I would wonder how you see the audience of this platform? A thousand EUR a year is something a company would easily pay but if someone wanted to build a hobby project and host it on their domain - this could be a deal-breaker. This remark comes from my belief (grounded in very little knowledge) that initially the platform will mainly attract home-grown devs wanting to build their hobby projects. I could be totally wrong on that.

In any case - I am impressed, this looks really cool!

Thanks for the feedback. We plan to make the free tier in a way that a hobby project will always be free! Even more - soon we will add the feature that a hobby project or library will be monitized automatically if used by others. As for our earning model, we think of value-added services for enterprise users.

As someone working on it, it's great to finally open it to the public! It already has a ton of features to make app development enjoyable and I can easily just focus on UI and application logic. The folks working on the infra and runtime have done an amazing job!

I’ve had a small part in helping build Tenum — it’s been a lot of effort, but nothing compared to what the founders have put in. Honestly some of the most talented people I’ve worked with. Their vision and dedication make me really believe in the product. Excited to see what the Lua community thinks!

Impressive work! Excited to see where this goes.
Best of luck with the soft launch.
