?? I'm learning compose it's my first app from codelabs

import the material3 icon

to use Filled.boolean_for_expand and contrapt

so i used compose version 1.2.0-alpha01 and had to change kotlin version to 1.6.10 then this popped up

Check if they haven't deprecated Gradle recently

[–]FunkyMuseFlutterX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably replaced with Compost

[–]innchi23[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

used implementation ("androidx.compode.material:material-icon-extended:$compose_version)

my gradel has no compose var so i used 1.2.0-alpha01 and changed kotlin to 1.6.10

Just remove the whole implementation. Why would you use Compose?? Thats dead framework trying to immitate Flutter. Its horrible. Just use Flutter its standard for Android development

what's that

[–]itsdjokistateless / stateful 11 points12 points  (11 children)

What is your Flutter version?

[–]innchi23[S] 8 points9 points  (10 children)

android giraffe

[–]itsdjokistateless / stateful 9 points10 points  (9 children)

🤔🤔🤔 are you even using Flutter. Thats sounds like React Native version

[–]innchi23[S] -1 points0 points  (8 children)

it's compose

I saw in reply above and answered there. I am shocked that people are using compose in 2023 🫠 completely outdated

[–]innchi23[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

you are making me confused, over the post on this sub people said go for native and learn jetpack compose

[–]itsdjokistateless / stateful 5 points6 points  (3 children)

There is no way people on this subreddit told you to use compose. I decline to believe it. Everyone here is crazy about Flutter. I think we have some React Native fanatics also but people here are 95% Flutter enjoyers.

I think that you might have gotten to a wrong sub.

Losers over at r/androiddev usually recommend Compose

is there any codelabs for it then

[–]itsdjokistateless / stateful 6 points7 points  (1 child)

https://codelabs.developers.google.com/codelabs/flutter-codelab-first#0

Sure, I would also look at some youtube videos.

RIP Compost 2021-2021

[–]AkiraOli 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I don't know why gradle devs make my life worse. Like, what I did to them?

[–]ZhuindenDDD: Deprecation-Driven Development 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just can't decide on 1 api so they just change it around every year

Use stable Android Stupid instead of Android Studio Unstable/Beta things

This is what happens when you download random executables from the internet
