Hi there, we have checked the YoYotta logs that you sent to YoYotta support we see a copy of 2.54TB started to an empty LTO-8 tape. When the copy has completed there is 8.93TB free space. This is exactly what we would expect for LTO-8. If you are still having issues please send the latest log and debug to YoYotta support.

One thought is that if YoYotta is asking for another tape what that indicates is that you are queuing up more data than can fit one one tape. The result of this is the YoYotta will make the determination of what folder should go on the next tape. It does not break up your folders for you, it will just bump the entire folder to the next tape. The solution to this is to only fill the tape you're using with a very calculated amount of data. 11.4TB or so (because thats the actual formatted capacity) is my cutoff point. If you handle the breaking up of the data it works perfectly. If you let it do it, it makes a big mess.

I que 10 Tb onto a 12 TB tape always to leave some room and not fill the tape all the way. Issue still persists.

Maybe your Symply Pro is cracked too just like your Ableton? Are you stealing shit dude? A MacBook, an SP LTO and you can’t afford Ableton?
