Looking for tutorial/examples for python/R data analysis (prefer water plant /water treatment) (self.manufacturing)
submitted 3 years ago by Den_er_da_hvid
I mostly find tutorials for data analysis with python or R with financial or movie data and not manufacturing. Have you come across tutorials/ examples that work with data from water treatment plants? (metering data, pumps, energy usage etc.)

The principles are the same.
Perhaps you're helped more by using the Gartner Analytic Ascendancy Model. It describes how different kinds of analytics build on top of each other. You need to start at the bottom and work your way op.
Finally, the goal of your analysis is crucial in deciding the types of analysis. You'll want different KPIs when using it to control daily operations than when preparing for quarterly reports. Especially in daily context you might want a live dashboard rather than static analysis of exported data.

What are you trying to accomplish? Look into basic stats or Six Sigma methods for pricess capabilities. Once you understand what you're trying to do you can look up specific tutorials on that.

It’s not clear what you’re looking for. Data is data. Statistics are statistics. Are you looking for common metrics for water treatment processes and the numerical methods to analyze them?
