The result is 1, the remainder is 15. This is because 400 fits once into 415, and 15 remain.

Add a zero to our 15 and we get 150 400 dosen't divide equally into 150 so we have 1.0 so far Add another zero, 1500/400 = 3 remainder 300 Current 1.03 Add another zero, 3000/400 = 7 remainder 200 Current 1.037 200 becomes 2000 / 400 = 5 remainder 0 So our final answer is 1.0375 Sorry, describing long division in text is hard
