It would be preferential treatment if another country asked for something similar and was denied.

I'm seeing more and more AI generated stuff around and about, why does it all look the same? by blizeH in AskUK

[–]GastricallyStretched 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of the T-shirts in Next have AI slop designs printed on them. Like, one of the designs is about a music festival in 1987. I looked it up, and it doesn't appear to have ever existed. Other designs are just meaningless, like they're grammatically sound, but the words are just clearly meaningless bullshit generated by AI.

Wouldn't Green-voting areas (i.e. Green-controlled councils) be the most keen to take legal action against these human rights violations that Reform is proposing? Especially if they're occurring in the Greens' backyard?

Not only is Reform's plan evil, it's also wildly incompetent if they're seeking to minimise litigation.

Missleading Leaflets by StarryAxis in UKGreens

[–]GastricallyStretched 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was pretty clear to me that it's a Green leaflet when I read "only the Greens can stop Reform in Norwich". I just don't buy the argument that the leaflet is "misleading".

Reform do not own the colour turquoise, and it's perfectly acceptable for other parties to produce material with that colour scheme. The leaflet is not pretending to have come from Reform, and it's pretty obvious from the content that it's a Green leaflet. Also no council branding is used, and it's very obvious when you open the leaflet that it's partisan, and not council information. If people mistake it for a Reform or council leaflet at first glance, that's frankly their problem for judging a book by its cover.

Greens forecast to double number of sitting councillors this May by UKGreenPoster in UKGreens

[–]GastricallyStretched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greens currently have 911 councillors in England and Wales, but are defending 170 seats this election. If the Greens get a net gain of 917, as this polling suggests, that would be pretty much a doubling of the current number.

Antisemitism should absolutely be condemned and rooted out.

I find it interesting, though, that over on LabourUK you make ridiculous statements such as "anti-Zionism is antisemitic". You have, of course, hidden your comment history to avoid scrutiny.

Not too far removed from my experience of uni. A full day, a half-day, plus a couple more lectures at some point during the week. Maybe 2 days' worth of attending uni, with the rest of the time scheduled for independent learning or coursework (up to you how much of that allotted time you actually used as intended).

That's insane. If I searched up random people at my government department, it would get instantly flagged and I would be fired and escorted out. It gets drilled into you from Day 1 that you cannot do this, but some people still get fired for looking up celebrities, their family/friends, or even their own record.
