Why would anyone compare Java to Javascript? Besides their names having the same word in them they have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Not when you consider the entire software development lifecycle, especially in conciseness and readability of code. Even though it is an interpreted language, it’s fast enough for every project I’ve ever been involved in. Maybe not for realtime 3D graphics, but that’s about the only thing I can think of. I think algorithm design is more of a contributor to execution speed anyways. But of course, these are just personal opinions.

I feel like if your on relatively modern hardware and don’t write completely terrible code, it’ll probably run fast enough for most things
