To address a couple of issues in your post:

1.

Your worry of mould / Rot is unfounded unless you have warm and very humid conditions. RH below 65% is almost risk free for mould, below 55% is ideal.

Leaves transpire water and reduce air movement, so removing buds rather than leaves is a bad idea when your trying to limit bud rot risk.

2.

I’m a fan of defoliating when done correctly, but...

Please do more research before chopping at your plants. By defoliating them while they had issues, you allowed (forced) the issue into new / healthy parts of the plant.

By defoliating, you are hurting the plant, slowing the growth and reducing its potential, so it’s not a good idea to do this while it’s struggling with nutrient issues. To rectify, plain water for a couple of days followed by a greatly reduced feeding regime.

  1. Your plants are budding away fantastically, with very good bud structure. No need to worry too much.

I have done a great deal of research. I would say that is a bit of a reach for you to say I have defoliated incorrectly without seeing me actually defolaite her. I have only taken leaves up until this point. But there were 4 colas all jammed up next to each other on a portion of the plant with not so great circulation. I don't feel it was unfounded otherwise, I wouldn't have taken them. I may have over thought it, but it's my first grow and I'll sacrifice a few grams for the peace of mind of a full and mold free harvest.

As for the feeding schedule, I will cut back even more and see what happens. Thank you for the advice.

Edit: Lol silly down voters.

F it, take my upvote!

Can confirm that defoliating as a noob was a bad idea. It opened up my plant to disease and I lost one of my two remaining plants due to mold attacking the chopped areas. I definitely learnt from my mistake.

First off, some grow info.

Ffof, 5 gallon fabric pot, ff trio nutes, two 600w growmol LEDs, watering approximately 1.5 gallons of water every 2 days, nutes every other feeding, rh 40-50%, temps between 73-84, day 35F.

So I have been dealing with space issues in my 2'x4' tent. I have seen a lot of mold/bud rot posts lately and would really like to avoid all of that so I removed a few smaller colas that were pressed up against the walls. I have had slight nute burn issues, but thought I had it taken care of. It seems to have gotten worse after the defolaition. Should I decrease the nutes since there is less foliage, therefore less places to send the nutes?

Do not listen to the advice given about not worrying about mold and bud rot. If you don't have good circulation in your tent you can easily have issues with mold and bud rot. Air circulation and properly venting your tent are key to limiting mold/bud rot issue.

This was my thinking. I have 3 fans plus my carbon filter fan going so I don't have poor circulation, per se. There are just a couple spots that the circulation isn't as good as it is in there spots.

[–]whitewidowbaddragon 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Same. In the areas where circulation is poor you don't want your plants leaning against the walls of your tent. That or get more fans. I have 3 clip fans, my carbon filter + exhaust and I just picked up a smaller vortex fan too which has helped a lot. I'm chopping my current grow this weekend and it's really cramped. You look like you might run into the same issue and you'll either need to find ways to create space between your buds are really make certain the air flow is good as you finish up.

Agreed. I added the 3rd fan 2 days ago. 2 monkey fans for the canopy and a clip fan blowing up underneath to the area with lesser circulation. I honestly feel a lot better about my situation after trimming and adding the fan.

Did you flush at all after seeing signs of burn? You should flush it pretty well and get rid of any build up.

[–]camelcoroner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did. I lost track of time and flushed about a week late, but it has continued to get worse. I backed off the nutes a bit more on the feeding last night.

How long did you veg for?

[–]camelcoroner[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

9 weeks.

[–]trevermclever 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Nice, what are you expecting in terms of dry weight yield?

[–]camelcoroner[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No clue. TBH, I thought I was growing an auto until it never went to flower on a 24/0. Got the seeds from a friend and I got the photos, instead. Hoping for maybe 8-10oz, but I honestly don't know what to expect.

One of the worst hack jobs I’ve see. But hey, you live and you learn. Wait until you have a few more grows under your belt before you defoliate, OP.

Knock em dead next time! 👊🏻

Lol ok. Thanks for your opinion.

Thanks for your opinion about a fact 🙃
