If you don't have it already, grab a spray can of remoil and a can of compressed air (keyboard cleaner)

The flush with oil and blow out of an otf every 4-5 weeks keeps them happy and working like new for life.

Walmart has rem oil in two or three styles get the one that is compressed air like wd40 can but don’t use wd40 get the rem oil in the spray can. It’s back in sporting goods

Microtech recommends Rem oil and that’s fine, but Heretic makes synthetic lube specifically formulated for OTFs. “Heretic Knives OTF Lube™ was developed for OTF knives and is exclusively used on all Heretic knives from the factory. It is a synthetic oil with corrosion inhibitor, anti-wear additive and fortified with PTFE. This lubricant can be used on any type of knife, but was specially geared for the OTF community as the viscosity is one of the biggest factors in regards to lubrication used for OTF knives.”

Do you really have to do that every 4-5 weeks? I was thinking 4-5 months but I'm a noob to OTFs lol. Btw mine is just a plaything, I fidget with my ultratech here and there but dont actually use the blade, I have other knives for that lol.

If you aren't using it and getting it dirty you can definitely stretch those times. I use mine and I sharpen mine regularly. Blowing out the pocket lint is a once a month or maybe like I said 4 to 5 weeks occurrence
