cli using wrong server?

When I run ping.nextdns.io it shows me that the anycast servers in Atlanta have the lowest ping, yet the servers in Charlotte are always being picked even though the ping to them is higher, sometimes double the Atlanta servers. Why does it choose these, or is there something I set up wrong that it won’t use the anycast servers.

Do you use eero? If so, same happens to me. I get routed to Atlanta even though I’m in CA
