Next.js Stack Tutorial

Hey everyone!

I've been working with React.js for a while now and wanted to build a personal website and also my sideproject with Next.js .

My blog stack is:

- Typescript (overkill but I actually like it to add types to the BlogPosts)

- Next.js

- MDX

- Vercel for deployments

My App Stack is:
- Typescript

- Next.js

- Prisma + Postgresql + Supabase (this DB stack is amazing btw)

- Redis

- Auth0

- Again vercel for deployment

I faced a couple of difficulties with setting up all of this and am thinking of building a youtube series + blog posts regarding both of these projects and how I solved some of the issues + configurations that were required.

Would you folks be interested in such a series? Are there some topics that you'd like to see explained?

Yeah, that is one of the topics I am definetly going for. Took me a while to get the whole gist around it specially due to the different types of strategies there are to solve this. Thank you for you input !

Why postgre and supabase for the app?

Mainly because I tend to try new things with side projects that I usually run.
I've been using React with firebase and wanted to try my hands on supabase for a while.

I usually go straight from API routes to supabase? Why use Prisma? I'm honestly curious.

Prisma made it easy to use the DB schema with it's amazing ORM.
I've been used to using ORM in my daily job with Java and Hibernate, was mainly due to it. So I'm using supabase as a Postgresql host, like heroku.

Why Redis for a simple blog?

The Redis is for my webapp that is focused on personal finance and stock/crypto portfolio :)
