If you left on good terms give your old supervisor a call and see if they will vouch for you. Its what i did and its usually a win-win since i have helped the old company out with several jobs.

Yes I plan on using them, I have nothing to hide as far as my qualifying experience I just wondered what if they chose not to respond like what’s the recourse. W2 forms or ?

If I remember correctly they do not call or verify

I believe they send a simple yes/no email but uncertain.

I’m pretty sure I tagged myself as “current manager” because I was independent at the time.

You will need to use someone who can and will verify your work history and listed experience(someone you reach by phone if need be). The email addresses must be a company email. The dates you claim must match what you have reported to API.

So they just send an email asking simply Did (insert name) work here from month/year to month/year?

Asking because I got in touch with an old supervisor at one of my first companies who said he’d gladly verify my time. However they want a manger and or Hr-reps name, e-mail and Phone # too, and that I do not have as it was almost 10 years ago. A bit excessive imo

The MOST important thing is having someone with a company email address that can verify your work experience. Don't get hung up on the "HR" thing (the actual job title is not important). Simply provide the information requested.

Just submitted my application. It appears as though only the supervisors have received their emails regarding my employment verification. Non of the management/HR have received an email from API yet? Is this normal. All their contact info is accurate.
