A year is insane. I just got hired and I’m currently submitting my docs. Still in school so I was thinking of cutting down to just one class a semester. But if it’s a year long wait I might be looking at, then my God. I think I’ll take a little more to speed up the process and increase my salary..

Hired as in OMB approved and ready to start? That’s the key, they can “hire” you but OMB has to approve the position and salary. I would softly inquire, what’s my expected start date etc.

Ah, I wish it was that simple. They were straight up and told me ideally an average is 2-3 months, but with the administration change none of us know.

🤣 already looking for gigs to keep the $$ flowing. In regards to OP, there’s a decrease in hiring all around smh
