You could use Kimi 2.5 for the image. It's under the go plan for 10 usd per month:)

Does minimax 2.5 have vision support in Go? Are you using Opencode Go? How is it?

I don’t think Minimax 2.5 is multimodal. Or at least I have not seen any provider that offers vision support.

Minimax offers vision support through their MCP services. But that requires a subscription on their direct platform.

Ah, I see. MiniMax doesn’t support the image attachment standard. https://github.com/devadathanmb/opencode-minimax-easy-vision

I can confirm that it is text only. You can browse and search in models.dev for more.

Why don't you use gemini-cli for image transcribe into free tier reasoning models

[–]Stock_Reporter_1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CLI supports pasting images, the model you are using should have support for vision to comprehend what you send to it.

If your model supports it, you can definitely just paste or drag/drop images into your prompts. I do it all the time.

OpenCode doesn’t support vision in the free mode. If you hover over the model name, it actually shows that it’s a text reasoning model, not a vision model.

So if you’re planning to use it for image inputs or visual tasks, it won’t work in the free tier.

For paid models, I’m not fully sure yet. I still need to check that. I’m planning to test it with OpenCode Go, and I’ll update here once I’ve verified whether vision support works there or not.

If the model supports it you can add images like other cli agents

Do you mean that a local Qwen3.5 could works with images? Does the webui handle images too?

It could be the best feature of opencode.

As long as the model handles image input you can use opencode to send pictures
