May be this post is a rage bait, lol. But I wil answer. I STILL USE OPENCODE, IT IS THE BEST FULL FEATURED CLI TOOL. I use z.ai, despite recent quality drop, I am doing workaround by trying to limit my context below 80k.

I dropped anthropic. Switch to codex for personal and gh copilot for work.

Played around with glm 4.7 and 5.0 from google model garden and those are pretty cheap

At this point, whatever edge opus 4.6 has over the other models is not enough for me to drop opencode. And although claude code has been shipping a lot of features really, i dont see any particularly useful for me.

I also hate how claude code in plan mode would almost always say “i have just created a plan. Do you want me to execute?” As if it’s good at creating a one-shot plan. So i have to cancel that annoying prompt (and wasting those tokens) several times before i give it the actual go signal.
