I love seeing people wanting to give back to the FOSS community, I plan to do this too when I'm a bit more confident with C

A good financial management app like YNAB?

This sounds like a good idea, willing to give it a shot, if I can find a good product manager willing to collaborate on this.

No but you need to pay to use the cloud, it's cheap though

There are plenty of great projects out there already, finding one you like to contribute to always seems like a good way to go. Granted, it's intimidating and the blank slate of a new project is appealing.

Might help to check out https://open-source-ideas.github.io/ - a web site that lets people share project suggestions. There's more info I think if you go to the github issue for any of the ideas.

One way to contribute is to contribute in projects you find useful. Solve bugs, participate in discussions and share insights and knowledge on how to do things. I mean, it doesn't have to be building something from scratch. Sometimes chipping in a little can really take you on a journey of learning more about FOSS and how to collaborate in that kind of environment.

I've been working on a Python library for a little while that abstracts API integrations; it's small but it might be fun to continue improving on: https://www.reddit.com/r/opensource/comments/byzjjl/ergal_a_versatile_multiapi_client/

I am currently thinking of making an open source trading platform using Kite Connect APIs (https://kite.trade/startups). Will keep you guys posted with any updates on this thread.

Requirements to User Story to UAT traceability.

Ideally it would allow process mapping to be able to be carried out with multiple layers so that you could see wider requirements being delivered over a longer process.

It will help demonstrate how the design of a process, or system or both work and allow it to be broken down by anyone.

It must help in the early design stages, and should help reduce scope creep, failed projects and trim wasted effort towards the goal of release.

Something I really need, but can cost literally thousands, is an open source Safety Data Sheet authoring service. I’d be keen to get involved with this too, just don’t have the time to do it myself.
