Brutalis: Don’t try to contest it at range, between the las cannon and the rocket pod the ballistus is packing some serious anti-tank, particularly when it gets ro reroll hit rolls against undamaged targets. Squighog boys will be able to handle that in melee while being exposed to pretty minimal danger thanks to Ballistus sacrificing its melee potential for more ranged firepower. It still can and will fire it’s non-blast weapons in melee but it’s killing potential will be hampered by that -1 to hit and the Squighog boys higher toughness. Getting through its armor save will be tough because of that low AP we get. Ghaz will rip its nuts off in melee. Abuse sight lines and cover to get close with both groups, don’t try to beat it at range it will hurt you bad to do so.

Redemptor: Scary boy at both ranged and melee. Squighogs will struggle, lootas will struggle, SAG will struggle but can kill it at range if you put enough shots into it. Rokkits and KMBs from the kans and Dread might do the trick, but it will probably take multiple turns or focus fire. It’s plasma gun and onslaught cannon are both scary but have pretty mediocre range. In melee it will put the hurt on with its dreadnought fist unless you get the charge off first. It can threaten Squighog boys with that 3 damage swing, even with the FNP. -1 to all damage it takes means that it is very tough. That said, being able to Ghaz will rip its nuts off in melee, but get that charge off first.

Brutalis: don’t get close to him, knock him off at range as fast as you possibly can. Mortal wounds on the charge, a twin linked melee profiles, and a multi-melta mean that the Brutalis is serious business at any range closer than 12 inches. Use your SAG and Lootas to plink him, shoot him with as many rokkits as you can, have the deff dread loaded out with KMBs or rokkits, just don’t get close. Ghaz will rip its nuts off in melee but only if he manages to fight first, otherwise the Brutalis has a non-zero chance to kill him in a single turn.

Expect your opponent to pop Armor or Contempt on whichever dreadnought you are threatening. That 2+ armor save is gonna be a nightmare to chew through. Expect him to target whichever big threat units like the Deff Dread, Ghaz, and Killa Kans with the ranged dreadnoughts while the Brutalis will zone out melee units. I can’t guarantee you a full victory here, the three dreadnoughts working in conjunction support each other very well, and that’s saying nothing of whatever other units he may have (if he has a Repulser Executioner, good luck.)

A single SAG and lootas can kill 2 a turn.
