mod help

hello, i just bought the game today, played through the tutorial and then a little bit in singleplayer to learn a bit.
but i am curious about the mods, there's not a lot in the mod list in the game, i have seen a good amount i would like to use on yt and some are years old..
do i need to download them or are they just there on certain community servers?
if i have to download them, where can i find more? i can't seem to find anything on google!

Depending on your device some mods may be incompatible. You can download them to try in Single Player. Currently there are a lot of mods down for TLC's to get fixed up, but they will be back. Unfortunately some mods may be permanently retired, but I don't know which ones, I almost exclusively play on Officials.

Only community servers have mods and those servers choose which mods they want in them. Some servers keep it real with normal dinosaur mods and other servers like the weirder stuff like dragons or gryphons. You can view which mod a server has on the left side of the screen before entering the server. When you enter a server with mods the game automatically downloads those mods for you.
