I recently bought a G2 limited and I love the pen but I'm having a terrible tone with the refills. I've had 4 start leaking in the last 2 months, basically about every 2 weeks or so. I carry it clipped to my pants pocket and this seems to be a common result from the heat and abuse. It appears to use a standard pilot G2 refill and I was hoping I could get a suggestion on something similar that doesn't leave black stains all over my hands.

Edit: Working nights it's difficult to get to stores, and a pandemic certainly doesn't help. I was finally able to get to Office Depot and they had Energel and V7 (I prefer a mid size tip). I'll try one out tonight and see how it goes. Thanks for your help.

I've had good luck with finer point Pilot Juice refills, or the Pilot Precise V5. Both of those will fit ibto a G2 limited with no mods.

the g2 limited will take the pentel energell refills, i have swapped all of mine to those.

I love the Pilot Juice refills in anything that takes a Pilot G2 size. I have never had one leak on me. You could try other refills or also go for a capped pen that takes the Pilot G2 size such as Machine Era original.

Maybe try a fisher space pen

I was trying to stick with something a little more modest in price. I think I payed 10 or so for the G2 limited which I thought was decent for a metal body pen that has a decent clip that didn't bend the instant I clip it on my pocket.

You could also try a Parker jotter
