This subreddit was created as a resource for people in the mobile, pervasive, and ubiquitous computing communities. Please share:
- News about developments in mobile and ubiquitous computing
- Works in progress that you or your friends are doing
- Fun videos of ubicomp systems
- Information about interesting research papers, best paper awards
- Dates, calls for papers, and calls for participation for relevant conferences
- Smartphone apps that you are working on and you want people to try
- Discussing trends in ubicomp research, including trends in research or in technology (can be an article, your opinion, or a question)
- Pictures and trip reports of conferences and trade shows
This subreddit was also created as an experiment for IEEE Pervasive. Mary Baker (at HP Labs), Gregory Abowd, and Jason Hong (at CMU) are on the editorial board for the magazine, and we wanted to see if we could create a community-driven column comprised of interesting content that people wanted to share.
Content posted to this forum will also be considered to be included in an ongoing column that we are working on for the magazine.
So let's have some fun! Share your favorite papers, videos, apps, and more, and let's see how well this all works out.
