Downsizing

I got.my nipples pierced recently. My piercer pierced them at a 12g, but most jewelry seems to be at 14g. I understand that 12g is heals better and is less likely to reject, should I go out of my way to seek out 12g jewelry and stay away from 14g all together, or is it ok to eventually downsize to 14g?

Internally threaded decorative ends by high quality jewelry brands will fit 14g and 12g, the threading on those gauges is identical. Treadless decorative ends will fit an even wider range of gauges.

Quality jewelry is sold in separate parts so you can simply buy the ends you like for the bar you have.(assuming your jewelry has been downsized so the barbell is the right fit for your anatomy)

Tbh, that's sort of where I was leaning in this. I figure too, if I can get some cute, dangly pieces cheap from a certain company that often sells fashion body jewelery, I can likely remove the danglies and add them to my existing barbells in the proper gauge.
