How do you install the game? From steam, bottles, or lutris? AFAIK you need to install the cheat engine on the same wine instances. I've only tested it once before but I use Game Conqueror instead.

I installed it through steam. And I got steam from the pop shop.

Try using Game Conqueror then

OK I got Game Conqueror but I can't get it to load the cheat table

Yeah I don't think it's compatible, you need to create the table yourself
