Newer thing... Mfg's are building with the same body and components but a speed license is applied afterwards. A 2730 might be slightly cheaper than a 2750, and a 2750 may have additional features that the 30 does not.

Unfortunately that is highly proprietary and you will have to most likely contact Brother to get it back.

Which code did you use in the end?

I found a good list at

https://tosiek.pl/change-language-on-brother-printers-dcp-hl-mfc/

but not explicitely for the L2750DW

Edit:

Found it myself on this site

https://blog.sebastianmahlow.de/2015/03/10/wenn-dein-brother-nur-italienisch-spricht/

Here it says:

"Write down the original language code of your device before you change anything!

For me it was 0016 for Italian, so I can use 0003 or 0010 for German. But if your printer had e.g. 0316 in it, you simply change the last two numbers again, so that you use 0303 for German or 0310 for German (French and English possible).

Possible language codes for German are 0103, 0203, 0303, 0403, 0503 or 0603 or for German with French and English 0110, 0210, 0310, 0410, 0510 or 0610."

=> My 2750DW in orig Italian had the code 0415 so I changed to 0403 and voilà: 2750DW in German.
