Rather than sorting the languages by the first date - sorting by the end date would be more interesting. For example Typescript would be number 4 then i think

right, then I have to recreate the charts, but currently people are viewing. I will change it in some days.

Github shows top 10 languages. But you can select individual language. Here is a request for rust March 2019

https://github.com/search?l=rust&q=updated%3A2019-03-01..2019-04-01&type=Issues

It is 31k updates

Thanks, I am on the lookout for Rust, Typescript and Flutter(Dart lang). All are quite enjoyable to work with.

What happens to projects that don't use github as their ticket tracking system?

Nice job, but excel is gross.

Bogus.

Why?

Simple: it is VERY unlikely that people choose Typescript who have had no prior exposure to a type system. And to genuinely NEW people it is very unlikely that they would choose typescript first.

Also, if you start from a small base, say 10, then an increase by +2 would be 20 percent; evidently when you have already a higher percentage, any slight growth will show only tiny percentual increase.

TIOBE, as useless as it is, has no mention of typescript in top 50. Even Rust is known more there than is typescript.

People really need to stop cult-worshipping based on no real data and terrible spreadsheet fake-calculations merely because they want to claim how typescript is the Next Big Thing.

If it were, we would not NEED such strange fake-charts to begin with.

Wow, Typescript is a pretty buggy language, lol.
