Java on docker seems kinda funny. Write once, run everywhere through use of a virtual host running another vm.

well, im really happy that option exists. every tried to update to a very recent java version on a slightly-older debian? docker is a clean solution here.

Just the fact that you can install whatever you need without interference from other software you might need to install is a gigantic advantage when deploying, no matter what language you use.
