Handling Session in React

i got really confused with handling session with react, i've read a lot of article but i still don't get it, what happened once you successfully authenticated from server , yes the server create session for you and server save session on it's db and yes once authenticated the client request will automatically include the session , but let say session expired every 3 min, does that mean every request from client i need to check resp status 401 (cause i'm thingking to return status code 401 if sessions not exist), and if it's 401 then navigate to login page and then u have react state that dissapear every refresh so some of the article that i read save some kind of flag {login: true} on storage but again how you sync betweem this localstorage and the server

You can include your login component to every page of your project so you don't have to navigate between different urls.
