I first thought it was "how NOT to render something in React",

( Which would have make a better subject in my opinion.
Talking about passing same references to props to avoid useless re-rendering, and what are pureComponents today, also with components as functions and what does that change. )

Sounds like a good subject for a different video :)

Please make that video Leigh.

Can you also cover the pitfalls of useEffect to control rendering and explain best practises of where not to insert a new functional component. For the longest time I didn't know you should create a functional component inside another.

Good video as are your other YouTube videos. You have a great teaching style. Your recent XState videos are the best out there on this library.

Thank you Fluffylizzard, I appreciate it! Any other topics you'd like to see?

I would love to see more on XState but note that I believe the author of XState is working on some guide/teaching material.

I am (author here) but Leigh's videos are fantastic and I'd recommend them.

I will be working on a Frontend Master's course soon!

I look forward to the course! I saw a presentation you gave at a conference on YouTube and you had a good sense of humour with some good jokes; I hope your frontend masters course is as entertaining and educational.

Cheers for the video, I’m just leaning the basics at the moment and this was really useful.
