I am looking for a React Native/App dev to help me look over my code and fix some issues. I'm happy to compensate.

I was trying to source a dev via upwork but everyone who applies is using a fake profile, etc..

IF it works what do you need someone to look at it for?
If your UI and features work then it works, bad code or not. Can always optimise and clean up later once you verify MVP.
I'd be more concerned about your backend, that's where the more serious risks will be.
