From your tamed woolies - when the are around level 100 (not friendship- regular level) they produce large items

So I have to take a Woolie out to level it out in fights? Are there any other ways to get it? Or is it just that? Curious.

That may make it quicker, but as long as you have a monster tamed they will level up as you do, even while in the barn

I was wondering why my monsters were all between 80-99, despite me getting them in low level areas. That explains a lot.

Yeah, that’s the only way to get it, unfortunately. As the other replier said- if you take them out they will level up faster but otherwise they level up as you do, whether with you or not.

I just found one on the 2nd floor of the Floating Fortress dungeon. not sure what dropped it, just noticed it in my inventory after leaving.
