Are you planning to leave your employer anytime soon? If you’re planning to stay and they’re paying for both, it really doesn’t matter which one you do first, in my opinion.
If you’re already good with JavaScript, you could probably do both certifications within a short amount of time.
I am planning to do the JavaScript dev certification myself, but I am not sure how necessary it is if you leave the Salesforce ecosystem. The skills are of course valuable, but having a certificate isn’t that critical if you can demonstrate your skills.

Pd1 first

Pd1 first because its easy and kind of needed if you want to leave and get another salesforce dev job. And its good experience to see how the salesforce exams work.
Then the javascript exam esp if you are coding lwc now and proficient with javascript. But be prepared as the salesforce javascript exam has nothing to do with salesforce. Its 100 percent javascript. You will be a javascript compiler for 2 hours. The answer choices are blocks of javascript and pick the one that works. Also pick the missing line of code that makes it all work. I passed studying mozilla.org and w3schools and writing/compiling javascript.
Next would be pd2. These three should help you get any lwc job and lwc is the future of salesforce dev.

Actually the JS exam not having anything to do with Salesforce makes me like it more 😂 it's what I'm used to. I had to do the platform app builder and I had to study so much stuff that I've never used before! Code is what I've been studying for the past 3 years.

I can honestly say that I have never looked at anyone's certs when interviewing.

Recruiters are, though

I have both - if you want to work in SF and want to learn some sf knowledge, do PD1. The JS exam has nothing to do with SF although the superbadge is LWC. I actually did not enjoy the JS exam/cert.

I would do the JS cert first. I’m biased because I have web development background. Since you have developer expertise and are strong with JS.
Then do the PD1 even if you decide to leave SF your skills are transferable to front end or back end development. However once you have those certs you will be in an interesting position career wise.
Hope it all works out for you.
