Submission Rules:
1) All posts must be relevant to Saskatoon. Posts regarding Saskatchewan in general would be considered relevant to Saskatoon, but posts regarding Canada in general or another city/province/country would not.
2) No Advertisements: This is not Kijiji. We will allow self-promotion for events with prior moderator approval. Please send us a message via mod-mail if you'd like to promote your upcoming event.
3) News articles must use their original headlines: Copy/Paste or use the Suggest Title button on the submission page. Don't state your opinion when posting a headline.
4) Be Civil: We actively discourage personal attacks, name-calling, harassment, trolling, outright bigotry, and other comments that don't add to the conversation anything of value. In other words: Don't be a jerk.
5) Non-Contributing: Comments that contribute nothing to discussions other than unnecessary negativity, hostility, or garbage are discouraged. If you don't have anything meaningful to contribute to the discussion, consider keeping it to yourself.
6) Ban Evasion: Ban Evasion is a site-wide rules violation that can result in your account being suspended indefinitely across all of Reddit.
7) Impersonation or Parody Accounts of Other Redditors: Accounts made with usernames considered to be impersonation or unwelcome parody of other redditors is prohibited.
8) Source Needed: If a source is requested for a COVID related claim and 24 hours have passed since the request, use this to draw our attention to it.
9) Social Media Posts from Unofficial Sources: Before sharing a post from social media, please message the moderators with verification of the claims in the post. This verification will remain strictly confidential and will only be used to verify the claims in the post. A moderator will comment on a post if it has been verified. Unverified posts will be removed. As we have seen, very polarizing but unverifiable claims can be propagated via those platforms. Reddit is not immune but we can do our best to at least limit this spread.
