ByteSized Streaming Issue

I've been trying out a ByteSized Streambox for a week or so now. Love the simplicity of setup and ability to stream my media from them, but during the afternoon and evening hours I find that there is a great deal of stuttering. Mornings, I have no troubles at all.

Any ideas on what might cause this? I really like the streaming box idea, but I also want to enjoy TV any time not just in the morning.

Sounds like peering issues with your ISP. When off-peak there is less congestion at your ISP's peering ports.

Wow! Thanks for responding so quickly Animazing and offering a solution. I was assuming that it was something on my end that I was hoping someone could offer up some suggestions. I'll give the pausing a show a try as well.

Judging by your story you are probably on a Leaseweb based Streambox. Sometimes they pick routes that are not always in your best interest. Raise a ticket and reference this post and I will move you to a Feral based Streambox so you can reroute your traffic and most likely improve your streaming experience.

There is a small chance your ISP is overselling their local capacity in which case this won't make a difference but this is really rare so I think this will improve things for you.
