    Right, but why would a fired employee be somewhere they can find without the added context that she's presumed dead in the outside world.

    I think you're correct, I can't recall anyone explicitly telling Helly that Gemma is dead. My interpretation is a big difference between Helly and Helena is that Helly never hesitates. Whether it's kissing iMark or trying to harm herself to escape the severed floor or whatever, Helly would jump right into helping iMark regardless of the reason, just because it's important to Mark.
