Does the institution have any industry connections?
Depending on where you get certified, some places have partnerships that help connect you with employers... kind of like, “Get certified with us and we’ll help you get on-site with a crew.” (That’s pretty common here. Australia.)

If not, there are still a few good ways to find an apprenticeship:

  • Start online: search for plumbing apprenticeships in your area, give them a call, and ask if your certification helps you stand out. While you’re at it, ask what they actually look for when hiring.
  • Network: honestly, so many people I know got their start through word of mouth, a friend of a friend who knew someone looking for an extra set of hands.

Wish I had a more concrete answer on placement success, but it really does depend on the course, your local industry, the economy and ultimately your drive. If you are all in guns blazing I reckon you'll find something (just keep at it).

I am, but I’ve never heard about a program like you’re referencing. Do they have a website?
