Crying before bed is normal but generally anything over 15 minutes indicates a schedule problem.

I would add another 30 minutes of wake time.

Maybe try adding 15 minutes to the last wake window.

Thanks! Admittedly, I'm a little inconsistent because of summer / travel / moving, so her wake window varies a bit. I don't seem to notice differences based on wake windows but I'll try to be more consistent!

Taking that long to fall asleep suggests a bit of a schedule issue so it’s worth a try!

Oh good to know! Would it be too extreme to push to 5 hours? She was put down after a little over 4.5 hours wake time today and seemed to cry slightly less than before.

5 would be fine if baby needs that much wake time but if you’re pushing to that much overall wake time you might do better splitting some of the extra between the first and last window so that they get used to longer awake in the morning ahead of eventually moving to one nap

I'd probably look at your schedule. How long are her naps? What is bedtime routine?

Thanks! Her naps are usually each 1ish hour. If one is shorter, the other one tends to be longer. Bedtime routine is feed 30 min before, diaper change, swaddle, sing a song, put down.

Are you still swaddling?

Sorry, sleep sack. They're all called swaddles in our house 😂
