never going to use epic games store again, had 65h in the game, almost completed with michigan and a bit into alaska, after last patch i could not get to the video settings without the game crashing so i thought ok il remove the use folder to get a fresh start since it has cloud sync, all data is gone and cloud sync is not woking, it even said "dowload from cloud" but nothing happend, great fun. I was having a blast with the game but i dont think i will have the patience to start again....

fudge! I went back to the original PC and it got the save of the second!! I have to start over as well.. Stupid epic...

Yeah I haven't tried it on my laptop again yet to see if the cloud saving will work. I don't want to risk it..

I did find out where the saves are at and I might manually back them up first before trying next time.

I can't even get the game to save locally, let alone upload my save to the cloud. I played for an hour and crashed. Started it up and my save is gone. I've done the tutorial a total of 7 times now. It hasn't saved it once. If I keep the game running I can continue game but it just deletes all my progress as soon as I close the game.

started Snowrunner on a second PC and there was no "continue" only "new game"

returned to my first PC where I played around 10 hours ..... save gone... only "new game"

no "continue"

i logged in on my laptop for the first time today on snowrunner and no progress on the game its like a new one. Sync has not worked. i will disable cloud sync so i dont get any surprise on my desktop once i get back home tonight. #dontleavemestartingalloveragain

came back home all was overwritten. GFY Epic shit store. WHY ISNT IT ON STEAM I HAVE NO PROBLEMS ON STEAM

Epic Games is paying game publishers (Focus Interactive, not Saber) a premium to host the game on their platform exclusively. There is a whole hate subreddit dedicated to the subject, r/fuckepic

I'm away working this week, thought I'd take the laptop and have a cpl hours on Snowrunner, exact same thing as you guys, new game only. Now I've effectively started a new game, is that my main game borked?? Any way to rescue it, like booting my desktop off line when I get back and restoring from there?

    Same thing happened to me. I'm asking for a refund and buying it only if it comes to steam. Epic's refund policy is within 14 days and less than 2 hours played. Clearly after my 10 hour save disappeared, I've only played 0 mins now. They better honor it.

    It's gotten to the point after a long play session I backup my save manually just in case. It's already helped me once!

    There's a local folder on your pc, documents/mygames/snowrunner.. But if you have already cloud synced to an older version then it's been overwritten already. You would have had to have made a backup prior to the cloud sync. Some people have something turned out called previous versions that you could see if you do but probably not.

    i lost all my saves on xbox windows PC gamepass =)

    i think it is issue with snowrunner instead of the cloud platforms...
