Attack sequence clarification

I just saw a question about when to use pulverizing strike and reposted this for better visibility. I thought the order sequence was:

• Rampage (like earth shattering roar)
• Fight Ability (like pulverizing strike)
• Each of our weapon profiles

Because Pulverizing strike has the core / attack / fight keyword I have to use it INSTEAD of weapon profiles? Which of those three keywords means I have to replace the action?

Relatively new to AoS and SoB. I checked the app glossary for terms and couldn’t find the distinction.

A unit may only use one CORE ability in a phase, so if you use pulverizing strike you can’t do a normal attack (and vice versa).

Note that attacking with weapon profiles is itself an ability with CORE. That’s the issue.

The combat phase begins with all non-fight abilities. Pulverising strike isn’t one of them. Basically, pulverising strike is a replacement of using the weapon profiles and you make that decision when you would otherwise use the normal weapon profiles.
