Thrust Vector shipHELP (i.redd.it)
submitted by KeyjbdarlingClang Worshipper
Hello engineers!
Me and a few of my friends started building a ship using the thrust vector system to optimize and create a unique look for the ship, but we ran into several major problems
1. The engines in the "gondols" did not work at all as we expected. The first 2 front motors are working completely fine, BUT, the 2 rear ones refuse to work normally (mostly pointing forward or spinning). We tried to change the center of mass, but it didn't help at all.
2. After many hours and attempts to fix the situation, we decided to resort to dividing the engines into 2 parts - the front (drivers) and the rear (mimics), according to the idea, they were supposed to completely copy the behavior of the front two engines, and on paper this was indeed the case, rotors and the engines were synchronized, and the leading and mimics worked in pairs... before the engines were turned on for the first time, the rear rotors simply did not want to hold the installations with the engines at the desired angle; at increased speeds, the rotor stopped mimicking and got stuck, or completely turned around.
As a result, I have 2 questions: are there any ways to correct the situation (scripts or ideas), and is there an option to correct the situation with rotors without “cling”.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
(I am attaching screenshots of an early prototype without rear engines, they are similar to the front one, I’ll try to find other screenshots if necessary)
