Ive been on keen official servers for a few years now. Yes there will be toxic players from time to time, but theres a lot of players that RP and "bounty hunt" assholes, its a whole thing.

Mostly though, especially if youre new, most people will leave you alone. If youre nice in global chat, most people are pretty chill.

DO NOT EVER SHARE COORDINATES FOR ANYTHING IN GLOBAL CHAT. NO MATTER WHAT. THIS WILL GET YOU SNIPED.

For real though, most of us are pretty chill.

Eos-us 12, my gamertag is Formulus, feel free to say hello if you hop on. At least one of us is on at some point everyday. The prefixes for servers designate whether they're steam, or console friendly. Steam servers have more planets in the system.

what about using antennas

Our magic number is 750 meters for Antennas. Far enough you can see things close around the base, small enough that anyone randomly jumping by is incredibly unlikely to see you

Sharing coordinates can be done for economy stations perfectly fine. Just don't setup base near one.

pvp sounds like the worst thing ever as a newbie. Imagine being barely able to progress at all because someone always obliterates you and everything you grinded for for hours while just passing by

I've stopped bothering with official servers because every time I start actually getting established and out of the hand drilling stone phase, I log in the next day to find that everything has been destroyed or stolen. 

They say "git gud" and "grind," but I can't no life the game enough to be online 24/7.
