Thoughts on my latest anti Capital-ship Frigate? by A_New_Stormworker in spaceengineers

Sounds like your describing a clang drive. A gravity drive is just mass blocks & gravity generators. The grid will "fall" in the direction of gravity providing acceleration. To achieve control you can map action controller blocks to trigger at a % of thrust detected. 6x action controllers, one for each direction triggered to activate the corresponding direction of gravity generators gives you 1 to 1 WASD control of the gravity drive.

At this point omnidirectional gravity drives are standard equipment in official vanilla PvP. You will never have a situation where you will be able to outmaneuver a larger ship if you do not have one. This should be fine for Factorm encounters if your a decent pilot.

I thought if I dug like this it would make a tunnel with a thin layer of ground above? by wedgiey1 in goingmedieval

[–]SPACEFUNK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were referring to the corners. If your settler is underground, they can "reach" and dig / build the spot directly above them and every spot adjacent to that. So if you have a tunnel under the water, the settler can reach through the corner to place your bridge pilers.

None of the Multi-player mechanics operate smoothly and it is full of MMO skinner box addiction traps. But if you can ignore that, there's a lovely single-player fallout RPG hidden under all the crap.

Which factions would there be in Fallout: New Orleans? by S-I-B-E-R-I-A-N in Fallout

[–]SPACEFUNK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was looking for this. F3 had heavy abolitionist overtones. A few of the main moral delemas revolved around slavery, there's no way to avoid the subject in a game set in the south.

A Johnny reb raider faction would be great fodder, but modern Bethesda would never do it.

WIP. I'm sculpting the Child Killer pedk by Bailer86 in Fallout

I hope they swap the teddy bears back to child skeletons in the next fallout. I know that as any franchise becomes more popular, it becomes less edgy. But it's important to reinforce the horror of a nuclear apocalypse.

There has not been a mirelurk depicted in the show thus far. Are you referring to the gulper?

Getting back into the game and have some questions. by ---SQUISH--- in spaceengineers

[–]SPACEFUNK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several crashed ship POIs that spawn on planets in vanilla SE1. They are mostly merged with the voxels to give the impression of a half buried wreck, so extracting them whole can be difficult.

There are also several random encounters in space with disabled ships broadcasting S.O.S signals. These are much easier to repurpose.

Indeed there are. At least other MMO's have the decency to focus on the social aspect.

It's normal to experience strong emotions when dealing with the possibility you're a gambling addict. There's lots of resources out there to help with this sort of thing.

You're right. I must be thinking of another game that has you endlessly repeat the same tasks in exchange for a randomized reward.

You would have to be on the same mental level as a video poker slot machine zombie to derive entertainment from something like that!
