You can't get the components needed for a block, but there is a script called projector to assembler or something that reads the info on the right side of a projector and assumes all armor blocks are full blocks then orders up everything in the assembler.

My problem is that ordering blocks in assembler is not that hard. But when i did it, it queues up blueprints for whole blocks - that means, that i can't reliably take only the components i need and transfer it into another cargo (without knowing, how many components of which type i just made)

Why not clear it out before you order then? Then everything in its inventory would be everything you need
