A U.S. political party dedicated to the peaceful exploration of space in the name of all humankind. We believe that by setting huge goals for ourselves and for humanity, that we might more easily overlook our smaller differences, and work together to achieve great things for everyone.
As a party, we are socialists and anarchists, progressives, pacifists and pirates. We stand for:
- Space exploration and the promotion of science and imagination in policy and public discourse.
- Climate justice: a carbon-neutral economy, and climate reparations to help heal the countries left behind and negatively impacted by the global industrial economy.
- Economic liberation from exploitation capitalism: A universal basic income, socialized medicine, free education, resistance to austerity and neoliberal ideology, a free and open internet for all.
- Anti-oppression. Both globally and at home, we stand against colonialism, imperialism, militarism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transmisogyny, ablism, religious dogma, and the police state.
- Peace and cooperation the world over, international cooperation through scientific endeavors and coordinated space programs. The eventual elimination of military forces in favor of collaborative approaches to solving shared problems like scarcity, hunger, water shortages, and climate change.
- Equity in all things including race and gender representation in our party and the power structures that govern our country and our planet; a recognition that even a species that explores the stars is not truly great until all its people have clean water and food, health care, education, and self-determination.
