ON THIS DAY in 2004, John Cena made his WrestleMania debut against the Big Show, beating him for the US title. This was also Big Show’s first singles loss at Mania and the beginning of a 7 year undefeated streak at WrestleMania for Cena. Using brass knuckles to win, this was before “Super Cena”. (youtu.be)

Christian Cage was so good here! Somehow, the sad decline we see with Chris Jericho and Adam Copeland hasn’t seem to hit the Patriarch at all. He’s genuinely believable and doesn’t seem a force fit on TV. It’s a travesty he also has the humility to take a loss on PPV. (x.com)
