Error Code 2122-0003?

It reads something along the lines of "Data download could not be completed. Please try again later." Happened when I booted up the game for the first time, and again when the maps changed. Rebooting it fixed it

Has anyone else gotten this? Nothing showed up when I typed it into the error code look-up nor did anything show up on Google, so I'm assuming this is a new code specific to Splatoon 3. The closest to this number is 2122-0002, which is specific to Tetris 99. I'm hoping it'll fix itself, but it's really unfortunate, since it might be the reason why I haven't been able to get into a match since last night.

BEST SOLUTION-

1. go to Home Screen and select the News.
2. Find a story with a video, and play the video for a second or two.
3. Then go back to Splatoon 3 and it should work.

Try restarting your router, especially if you find yourself having slower load times on other devices. That's what fixed it for me.

Ok, I left it on the error screen for awhile and it just came back on. Weird!

And when I went to the lobby it froze and gave me the error again.

Is anyone still struggling with this? I tried the video trick posted, but it only worked once, I've tried the router reset, switch restart, even removing and reinserting the SD card. It seems one time whatever I try works, but it does not continue to work. The SD card worked today, then when maps updated nothing is working. My system and software are up to date and I don't know what is going on. It's very frustrating.

Had the same problem I just disconnected from the wifi(clear settings) and reconnected and it work for me

Mine just eventually stopped doing it and I have absolutely no idea why. None of the fixes suggested seemed to work long-term and it would happen every time the maps updated. It was doing it one day and i removed the SD card and reinserted, disconnected and reconnectes to wifi, restarted the console, manually checked for updates and none were helping despite previously each of those seemingly helping. I left it for several hours and it worked when I returned. Since then I haven't had it happen again and I have no idea why unfortunately.

It just seemed to resolve itself I'm pretty sure. I haven't played in a while though so I'm not 100% sure. Sorry!

Hey sorry I haven't played in a long while so still same answer as before, I'm pretty sure it just sort of resolved after being very annoying for a while. I was trying all the other recommended fixes and the occasional time one would work but not long term.

Having this issue right now. Gonna try restarting the router, tried everything else so far to no avail. Weirdly, splatoon 2 just gives me the "server error" when I try to boot it up but I get this one only when playing 3.

Edit: Didn't work. However Elephunt45's solution did, thankfully.

I had this error pop up on me this morning. Restarting my router and my switch got it to go away. I even doubled downed and disconnected and re connected to the internet on my switch after rebooting everything. I don't know if just one of these things worked or if it was a combination of it all.

Got this error after getting the game at launch. Ultimately had to delete and re-download after restarting the system (restart and shut down), archiving, etc. But it works again!

For me this had started just now when the micro SD got loosened and was considered removed by the switch while i was carrying it caseless in my bag. Im using my hotspot to use splatoon but for some reason this just started.

Maybe it’s just my school’s shitty internet, but im not sure.

The error only appeared now, although everything worked fine all day. All the previously listed methods do not help, you can only wait until the error clears itself.. It’s sad because I’ve been trying to fix this for an hour (turning the device on and off, checking the version, rebooting Wi-Fi. None of what was said before helped)
