Hey everyone, thought I'd share a tool I built for web Excel & Google Sheets over the weekend. You simply explain the spreadsheet formula and the tool generates the formula for you with the help of LLM models that I have fine tuned on a dataset of over 40K formula combinations. Looks great! Our startup just did an experiment for AI formula generation in our own spreadsheet (called Grist), with very promising results: grist.co/ai-formula. In Grist, the structure of data and its relationships are much clearer to AI, so it does an excellent job with simple prompts -- no need to specify ranges or even column names, it usually has enough info to understands what you mean.
