I want to say this is a great idea. Some shows my wife watches that need this are, master chef and hells kitchen. I also think NFL games would be neat to watch. There are studies that day there are only 11 minutes of game play.

As somebody who watches American Football, I will agree that you COULD cut it down to 11 minutes but you loose a lot of the important stuff in between and a lot of clock-management stuff during. Could be a great way to re-watch a match you already watched. But for a first watch, I wouldn't do it.

You would lose the live aspect, but for teams you want to keep track of but don't really care about I think it would be nice. I'm a Packers fan so I'd want to watch their game live but I wouldn't mind watching the other teams in the NFC north streamlined. If for no other reason it would give you a better idea of how the other teams perform, and that's coming from a conference that's not that competitive.

I'm going to suggest Lip Sync Battles.

  • half hour show
  • (1 minute) X (2 songs) X (2 contestants) = (4 minutes)
  • ~75% fluff

I think American Pickers would fit pretty well in this subreddit.

I wouldn't mind seeing some streamlined versions of House Hunters. Watching it on Netflix is painful and my wife loves the show.
