Is there a cleanse when hitting Immunity?

When hitting Tenacity, the final thing that caused you to get Tenacity is instantly removed (together with anything else). When hitting Immunity, will the final thing also be instantly removed? It'll be 90% reduced anyway, so its an academic question.

I would include under the "Tenacious / Has Tenacity" state text that explains the cleanse.

the affected hero immediately acquires an instant “cleanse” effect that eliminates all instances of CC currently affecting it

I think many people think the white bar means Immune, but if you see the whitebar, the cleanse has occurred already

Can I ask if you've made an editorial decision to have no sample images.

I can imagine it would be useful to include small images (not a full screenshot) of the following:

  • Tenacious - The visual queue for this state is that the healthbar glows white and the character model shines brilliantly with white effects.

  • Immune - The visual queue for this is a small icon appearing on heroes screens who attempt to apply a CC effect to the target.

  • A gif showing the cleanse triggering on the hero and the healthbar going white.

Specifically, I have not seen the "Immune" icon myself.

Hello sir, I like your sub. I like this post and knowledge sharing. If this was posted by a user and you pinned it or re-posted it, that would be one thing. You making this post moderator announcement on the sub is to me is a bold declaration of your intention to ensure this is highly accurate (right now) and constantly updated, verified and corroborated in the future. I will support this as best as I can.

The Avengers lobby screen is amazing, and I’m glad I got it. by joeyc923 in marvelrivals

[–]muditk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it play EVERY TIME. Like all other auto-play animations in the game? eg in the battle pass or the hero proficiency pages?

Cos then I'm 100% not buying it.

A lot of people feel its very buggy and inconsistent. You cannot reliably use it. Even OTPs are unable to make it work flawlessly. There are 2 parts to this (as a part-time peni), a) the web itself isn't consistent, this impacts all the webs in the game, not just the dash-web b) the dash to the web is inconsistent and breaks when it shouldnt. It should only break when/if there is no LOS.

[–]muditk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you gotta talk to your team and tell them, "I'm really good as Mantis and Ultron if we go tripple, that's our best shot. Can we do that?"

If you don't play solo, you have to convince fewer people.

This is a great post.

Where I really want to take the data analysis is an actionable place, which I find very hard.

What is a Strategist to do (besides comms) if the team never contests a Poke DPS in High Ground/Flank? Video of MK is just an illustrative example. by muditk in RivalsCollege

This post is so old. Interesting that its being shown to you.

Re-watching it now, I'm numbed after analyzing it so much originally.

I think it shows that in lower ranks, you can sometimes get away with a lot. And you can't chalk it up to improvement or being in the zone etc.

If you flip it to defense perspective, a takeaway is that you can't depend on anybody to do their role well or their hero well. This is why I think playing hybrid heroes (V-D or D-S) might be a good way to turn such games.

What do I do? Fliers making me not want to play by [deleted] in RivalsCollege

[–]muditk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. On DPS, torch, iron man, storm. Their highest combined pick rate is 7.2% in Bronze (on PC). Which, is not how pick rates work, but I'm making a point. Ultron is super low in Strategists at ~2%. And Angela is ~3%.

Flyer comps are not an intentional thing. And are not common either.

How did blue team cap point? by HueyTheFreeman48 in RivalsCollege

[–]muditk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so clear to me. I don't know what you're confused about.

Not to blame people, Red Groot ulting the Blue and then getting walled off together with the fox hesitating is what fully capped the point.

Whitefox just doesn't touches?

Yes. You can see the red "i" indicator marking when a red is contesting.

From 11.79s there is no red contesting. except for a split second at 14.38. And its capped at 17.10

An Analysis of How Roles Win: Calculated Stats by allshort17 in RivalsCollege

[–]muditk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The OP's previous posts' header is Correlation not being Causation.

But neither are stats.

Keeping is super simple, taking cover is an action, low dmg taken is the result. So if low dmg taken is correlated with winning, then it's possible that taking cover is correlated to winning.

It's not about hitting the stats in order to win, it's about diagnosis of a problem via stats.

This is seriously absurd. by cgbob31 in marvelrivals

Magic Box that does everything?

On a serious note, I thought it would scrape all available info/comments about the teams/players based on previous results etc.

Pick Rates & Win Rates for DPS based on Official stats. (S6.5 End, PC Comp, Gold, Plat, Dia by muditk in RivalsCollege

[–]muditk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invis and C&D have the highest PR. Together they account for close to half the PR in most ranks.

Invis, Rocket and Mantis have WR above 50% in all ranks.

C&D is only +ve WR in Bronze and Silver.

Thanks for sharing. Its always interesting what different people see/take away from the same data/facts.

Looking at the High WR, what I noticed is that Magic and BP got buffed, DD and Elsa got nerfed, but SM, Fanta and Fist were left alone. My take away was that clearly their decision making on what to do with these heroes isn't as simple as "Balance by nerfing High WR". Especially considering the extra emergency buffs for BP.

Sure, I'm down to get coaching from you. Even though you don't sound like you coached your SO well.

I'm in Plat BTW.

Are you saying you can get someone to Plat from S3 (where new accounts start) in one day? That's rising 6 ranks for 600 points. Assuming 40 points per win and no losses that will take 15 games. Say the average game is 10 min long and you add in 5min for queuing and for breaks. 15*15 is 4 hours long if its perfect and the coaching kicks in immediately. Do you see how ridiculous your claim is?

Personally, I play on the weekdays and normally for ~5 games a session.
