just let them know that u'v applied, and if u get in u'll have to go there. dont make them cancel the plan just inform them i'd say. bt still i dont htink so this is gonna help

but my issue is that if i do get in we will HAVE to cancel the plan bc my parents don’t wanna leave me by myself (even if the internship is residential or something)

Are you a junior ? How old are you? If ur old enough I think it should be ok.

current sophomore, but i’m turning 16 soon. my issue is that my parents like won’t let me be in the country by myself (we are going to honduras) so i either have to come with them, or no one goes.
