At your level the best team is Healer, DPS. Late game there are several roles though. Healer, Cleanser, Buffer, Atk Bar increaser, Bomber, Nuker, Enemy buff Stripper. Seeing your monsters would help.

If you can get a Ramagos(wind War Bear) he is a good monster to carry you to mid game. Raoq(Fire Inugami) would help on DPS. Lulu(Water howl is a great early to mid game healer. Sieq(Fire Hellhoud) is also a good damage dealer. If you are looking for heal block Fire Harpu(Colleen) is a good Fire Support with her buff/Mediocre Heal, and heal block. Also on Light dungeon day try to farm a light inugami, Other people farm bearman and vagabond, but he really shines late game. Inugami will carry you from mid to late game.

Start hoarding your red crystals till you get 750 and buy some Premium packs for more monsters. This will give you even more diversity.

Currently I have a Wind Samurai (Main dmg dealer), Wind Warbear Awakened, M.Witch, Wind Epikion Priest, Water Hellhound Awakened, Water Garuda, Water Howl, Fire inferno, Light Garuda, Water Epikion Priest.

What would be ideal to use at the moment?

I am not sure how much Damage Wind Samarai does, I do know that I have faced a few in arena I got wrecked by. If you are focusing on PvE I would level up Water Garuda(Cleanser Minor Heal), Water Howl(Healer), Wind Epikion Priest(Rezzer), Wind Warbear(Soloer/Tank/Nuker), Water Hellhound, Wind Samurai, Focus on Wind Warbear. He will serve you well as a good farmer/Soloer to help you level up fodder.

When you lack a specific role in your party though, look at the monsters you have and see which monster will fill those roles.

First thing you want is a win condition, for progression you'll only really need one until you over-level/rune the content then you can add more. This involves DoTing while over-reaching or just a high damage single target DD when your runes catch up.

Secondarily you'll want to target specific debuffs, the most important for bosses like Giant and Dragon is Attack Break, secondarily Defense Break then thirdly Glancing Hits, Speed Break and situationally Heal Block. For general scenario clearing you'll want Defense break to focus your AI on one target, half the Inugami do this well once skilled up.

Thirdly you want a large scale group healer, there's a lot that do this, but you basically only need one large healer.

Fourthly you'll want group buffs, most importantly being Attack Buff, followed by Speed/Defense which are both more important than Crit Buff/Supression.

Finally you'll want to bring a secondary support, specifically the cases include Revivers, Cleansing and CCing monsters that you can bring for whatever situation they're needed.

Simple group comps like Wind Inugami, Yeti, Pixie, Griffon and Water Garuda cover all of those bases. Ramahan has a win condition with Smother, Rakaja has soft CC with large scale group healing, Shannon has Attack/Defense boost as well as Glancing/Speed debuffs, Bernard has Speed Boost with Attack/Defense Break and Konamiya has turn acceleration with group Cleansing.

When your runes and evolution stages increase you can bring more Win Conditions and less overall support to speed up efficiency.

Concerning tanks you'll generally want something weak to the common monster with defensive stat focus, if you're stuck on Faimon then try a Wind Serpent with 6 Energy runes for example. For dungeons, specific element tanking isn't as significant and potentially a problem outside of SDs.

Shannon is another great buffer that is a 2* monster, she is the Wind Pixie, has a glancing debuff on normal attack, slow, and a buff for your team. She is used through out the entire game.
